Collective Museum

Collective Museum reimagines the entire 2000-acre University of California, Santa Cruz campus as a museum. Rather than collecting objects, we highlighted 50 sites on campus and stories that go along with them. Each site was selected and narrated by a professor, student, graduate, or staff member and marked by a public sign. An online museum collection features archival and supplemental imagery for each site and an interview with the contributor. The mobile site also allows visitors to connect to sites on campus through a GPS-based map and learn about histories of the university, of locations you might walk past every day and otherwise not know about.
